Every year, despite the strong February wind flooding the streets, there is a powerful season that dresses everything in red, hearts and where everyone talks - good or bad - about love. Valentine's Day is a celebration related to the holy martyr Saint Valentine of Rome, which has long focused on themes such as affection and love; both represented by the color of emotions: red.
But red means much more. Let us tell you.
We generally associate this color with love and, consequently, with a couple. But if we have learned anything in recent seasons, it is to expand our horizons.
The color red has much deeper meanings than just marital love. Love can be directed at life, at ourselves, at the world around us and transcend into one of the oldest and most appreciated forms of love throughout human history: friendship.
And, for our friends, we also feel a kind of attraction. There is a certain magnetism that makes us want to be close to them, share our experiences with them and enjoy their company. A color that symbolizes happiness and joy, it is a color that also makes us think about our friends and our own life.
Furthermore, red has as many meanings as the variants of its shades. Cherry red, for example, is associated with sensuality and passion. Shoes of this color could draw lines of seduction on you, not only to attract attention, but to like yourself.
Other reds, such as crimson, evoke energy and strength. It is a powerful color; a nuance that invites us to create, to move and go after what we want. On the other hand, darker reds, such as burgundy or wine, convey elegance, power and ambition.
So now we can think of red also as a color of attraction, seduction, power and passion; but also as an outstanding, spontaneous color, of action and dynamism.
A woman who wears red will carry with her seduction, but also initiative. And this is the best season to dress it and give it as a gift. To yourself, to your friends, to the women you know.
Interestingly, this spring, Luscious Red comes with immense strength. Take a risk and wear red; dress in all its value, its passion and its meanings.
