OUR HISTORY AND MISSION

In 1964, the couple Carlos Romero Huxley and Regina Calzada de Romero entered the leather business. They formed a great team since Carlos was in charge of the family tanneries in Monterrey and Regina had experience in sales of women's accessories. FEMALE FOOTWEAR

In 1973 they begin the manufacture of women's footwear. In 1984, after more than 10 years of experience in the high-end Mexican footwear market, the Regina Romero brand opened its historic store in Presidente Masaryk in Mexico City. For the first time in the 80's, El Palacio de Hierro began to sell Regina Romero footwear and women recognized our essence as a Mexican brand of quality and global design. The brand shows great growth and the four children of Carlos and Regina join the team.

LOCAL CONSUMPTION

During the economic crisis and the devaluation of the peso at the end of the 80's, Regina Romero began to develop great products with the high range of national suppliers with high quality standards, promoting the national footwear industry and local consumption. During the following 15 years Regina Romero, in addition to her own stores in Mexico City, Monterrey, Cuernavaca and Acapulco, has a presence in 4 large department stores. THE SECOND GENERATION

In 2000, the second generation takes over the brand. Jorge Romero strengthens the company and from this important changes arise. With this makeover, the unique and standout design that used to identify the brand is also revisited, with Paris-trained designer Montserrat Vega taking charge.
