This 2021 marks the 200th anniversary of the consummation of Mexico's independence. Throughout these two centuries our country has experienced everything; from local political disputes, to foreign interventions. Despite these challenges, we have always managed to emerge victorious and learning from our mistakes , because we know that the good things that unite us are more.

Regina Romero is a proudly Mexican company that believes in and supports its people. In this national month we want to remind you of those things that unite us and make us proud as citizens.

There is no doubt that Mexico is an incredibly rich country in culture, tradition and history , but did you know that we are the 4th country with the most cities declared World Heritage by UNESCO; only after Italy, France and Spain? We also have 121 declarations of Heritage , among which are historical archives, buildings, monuments and intangible heritage such as the Day of the Dead, charrería and gastronomy.

On top of all this, our country is home to important artists, academics, writers and architects who have revolutionized the world.

Likewise, the crafts produced in our country are coveted , and sometimes plagiarized, throughout the world.

And not only that, our export products , such as tequila, avocado, mezcal, coffee, chocolate and shoes , cause a stir wherever they go.

In fact, the export of Mexican footwear is so great that only during 2019 Mexico exported 260 million pairs of shoes; however, by 2020 it fell 37% to 165 million pairs , largely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, making Mexico the 9th largest footwear producer in the world.

We Mexicans have shown that we know how to make quality products. The shoes that we manufacture at Regina Romero are no exception: we abide by the highest standards of the international industry, merging with the know-how of Mexican master shoemakers.

In our country, small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of our economy. By putting national products before foreign ones, we support the Mexican economy and have a direct impact on the subsistence and job creation of SMEs.
