Wedding ceremonies are one of the oldest traditions . They were created to celebrate the love and union of two people. They are traditions so pure and beautiful that they have lasted to this day.

Almost a year ago, in July 2020 , we received a message from Daniela Bolaños . She wrote to us that she was engaged and was getting married in March of this year, 2021 ; I was very excited. We had barely four months of being confined to our homes due to the pandemic , however, that did not stop her.

We met Daniela in 2019; he interviewed us for a column in the Reforma newspaper . His message read:

“Notice that I am getting married in March and I already have my dress but I have been thinking about my shoes and I remember with such emotion how you told me the whole history of this brand, and how comfortable the shoes are and I thought that maybe they could make me my shoes ... I'm looking for a particular color and the model is simple, thick heels and open...”

His message coincided with the fact that, at that time, we were working on a new special collection for brides . We found it incredible to work together with Daniela to get to know in depth what a bride is looking for on her special day; what needs do you have; what are your priorities, etc.

This model presented a new challenge for us: long-distance work , derived from two factors: the health contingency and that our designer was in Madrid , completing her master's degree in accessories design, and Daniela, in Mexico City.

She, with great enthusiasm, shared with us the moodboard in which she had been capturing the ideas for her wedding .

With this information, our talented designer , Montserrat Vega , drew a series of sketches of different models .

However, in order to define the final design, Daniela visited us several times in our physical boutique , located in Monte Libano #250, with the aim of finding the ideal height and last . During these visits, both Daniela and her mother could not resist and took more than one pair of shoes .

After many tests and a long debate between the height of the Lauren model and the height of the Maite model (a limited edition design from the spring-summer 2020 collection) we agreed that a 5.5 cm heel was perfect.

Once the model was defined , all that remained was to choose the color and the material . Daniela wanted to use velvet , in a terracotta tone . Once approved, we make the shoes .

But when Daniela received her new shoes , she realized that the terracotta color did not go well with her dress . There was little time left for her wedding day!

We all ran. Finally she got a lighter velvet ( gold color ) and we re-made the shoes .

Daniela was fascinated with her new shoes . He shared many photos and videos with us where he documented the entire process and his experience. It was an incomparable adventure from which we learned a lot .

This was the last model we needed for our Regina Romero Bridal Collection , it will be available soon . Daniela and us liked it so much that we decided to do it in three different colors: yogurt, black and silk .

Tradition says that on your wedding day , you should wear something new . This symbolizes hope and the beginning of a new stage in your life . What better than brand new a pair of Regina Romero, with this new and super special design .
