Women who changed history

History has not been entirely fair to women, and yet, we have great icons who were great before this time and will be great even after many generations. These women changed history and left a deep mark on the memories of humanity.

Many women have made history throughout the ages and from the first centuries, such as Cleopatra, Joan of Arc and Anne Boleyn

Today we present them to you and we have chosen a pair of Regina Romero in her honor, which would surely be the pair of shoes they would choose at this time. We remember them for their great achievements and as a great example to follow.

Florence Nightingale (1820-1910)

British nurse, writer and statistician. This woman dignified one of the noblest professions associated, even today, with women. Their contributions, fundamental in treatment based on hygiene, are the reason that International Nursing Day is celebrated every May 12.

Her presence in the Crimean War, her absolute effort and her devotion to care required movement and stamina, so our Wendy boot would be perfect for her.

Marie Curie (1867-1934)

Of Polish origin and naturalized French, this scientist made incredible discoveries and broke countless records: she discovered polonium and radium, fundamental for science and radioactivity and, as if that were not enough, she was the first person to receive two Nobel Prizes in physics and chemistry, in addition to teaching at the University of Paris at a time when all this was practically impossible for a woman.

Virginia Woolf (1882-1941)

British novelist, essayist, editor and feminist. Her contributions to literature revolutionized this field, but it was her text “A Room of One's Own,” in which she developed various ideas for the education of women, since a woman would need that space — in a time where they did not have it — to develop her mind and expand your inner world.

Coco Chanel (1873-1971)

There is a before and after in the history of fashion and this was defined by this emblematic woman. Thanks to her, a feminine line was drawn that connected with the values that this group so desired: much more free, modern and practical. A woman with an adventurous spirit always seeks to discover. And Amelia was the first American aviator to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Unfortunately, we will never know how far he would have gone, since his plane disappeared in 1937 while trying to circle the planet.

Frida Kahlo (1907-1954)

Through color, Frida managed to express all the emotions of her soul that seemed loaded with gray and black in reality. In his short life, he generated more than 150 works that have transcended internationally. Her approach to politics showed the strength of her convictions and she was the first Mexican to exhibit a work in the Louvre Museum.

Hedy Lamarr (1914-2000)

Beauty and intelligence were infinite in this Austrian actress. His long film career did not overshadow his invention: he developed the spread spectrum theory, and this is the precursor to modern needs such as WiFi and GPS.

Eva Perón (1919-1952)

Eva Perón's short life did not prevent her from being a standard bearer for life and the defense of women's rights during her husband's presidency. In 1947 she managed to establish the Women's Suffrage Law in Argentina and was involved in social projects, becoming the most remembered First Lady in the country.

Evita's elegance was reflected in her way of dressing and living, always choosing classic and distinguished cuts, which is why she would proudly wear our Rania.

María Callas (1923-1977)

Considered the best opera singer of the 20th century, this American soprano of Greek descent had a life full of tragedies and abuses that were not enough to bring her down and transcend the history of music and humanity.
