The Spring Summer 2021 collection was created just a few months before the Covid-19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill .

In the middle of April 2020, our designer Montserrat Vega reconsidered the way she designed a collection and her creative thinking, and understood that the world would never be the same again .

What would be the shoes we would want in a year? When we are commemorating an exact year since the absolute lockdown of almost the entire world, who would have thought that we would be spending more time at home, less on transport, more walking the streets? Formal dressing would become a thing of the past, where our catwalk would be the corridors of our houses and our events would be through cameras and microphones.

However, our designer contemplated that something else would be happening . Something more powerful and special than any sadness or desolation that the pandemic could have generated: hope and union . We show you some of the personal notes that our designer was collecting while creating the collection during the 2020 quarantine.

Our new Spring Summer 2021 collection is intended to bring an air of hope and joy . An illusion for the future. A way to show that we are not going to give up, that we look forward to getting together again, to celebrate, to dress up, to dance, to walk... to live.

Within our Spring Summer 2021 collection, there is the Capsule Collection . This was born as an expression and a need to narrate and distill the experiences and emotions that accompanied us during this year 2020. In recent months, we have all gotten in touch with our inner fibers , in one way or another.

In this collection we present some models where the stitching of exposed skin symbolizes personal work, manual work, a return to the natural and the organic. These skin - out processes to find the essence and the truth of who we are and how we want to live.

Our two main mood boards talk about comfort and femininity , about being able to find glamor within our homes. Getting ready gives us encouragement, and we seek to find this feeling with this new collection. The illusion of buying some shoes “for when we can go out”.

Fashion has always functioned as a social and cultural 'statement' , which is why another of the inspirations for the collection was the post- war era in the United States , the 70's .

The hippie movement unleashed a fashion trend with bright colors , groovy silhouettes , daring combinations , use of leather elements, high platforms, sandals, flared themes and patchwork . A vibe of unity, peace, harmony, and the certainty that things would get better is one of the biggest inspirations of this new season.

On the other hand, both the selection of materials and colors were key to creating the history of the collection. We chose some precious skins, hand-tanned with pigments in vibrant colors such as orange, fuchsia, green, lilac and sky blue , counteracting this saturation with skins in natural tones , from gray to various shades of brown and black .

A medium grain gives a more 'raw' and organic look to the skin . We wanted to highlight the preciousness of this material, of what is handmade. A world where we felt it was important to take a break, and return to a more natural essence . By mixing this type of finish on the skin, along with the modern and contemporary silhouettes that are part of Regina Romero's DNA , we managed to have a collection that is super different and special from the others.

We include some designs where we play with blocks of color and interweave them with thin strips of leather, giving the designs a handmade yet sophisticated look .

A consistent common thread of organic silhouettes, curves, thin straps, metallic touches and mixes of textures , unite this new collection with the rest of our past collections.

The Spring Summer 2021 collection is the beginning of the future.
