Mexican collaborations.

26 October 2022

Mexican design is giving something to talk about all over the world; From architecture and industrial design to fashion, Mexican creations have become a reference for finding innovations. And the creativity of Mexicans is one of our most recognized and applauded characteristics throughout the planet. Mexico, being such a diverse country, has different design proposals within its universe. Today we want to tell you about one of them: timeless fashion.

For Regina Romero, the ability of designs to transcend time without being out of place is one of the foundations when creating new designs and collections. However, we are not the only Mexicans concerned about incorporating this characteristic into our clothing. Jasive is a Mexican brand recognized for creating ethical and sustainable fashion, in addition to promoting and defending contemporary Mexican fashion.

Last September we had the opportunity to participate as Jasive collaborators in the fifth edition of México en la Piel held in the city of Taxco. But what is Mexico on the Skin ? It is an event dedicated to Mexican fashion, culture and tourism founded by Tony Berber and Lu Buffoni in 2017. Here “national and international fashion proposals are presented [...]. “The organizers make a selection [of designers] and they are invited to fill the Taxco plaza with catwalks.”

This year Jasive Fernández —founder of Jasive — was one of the artists who stood out the most at the event since she was the “fashion designer who represented Mexico in the Dubai pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020.

"I want to leave a legacy in Mexican fashion and in world fashion, I am interested in first of all seeing us as a world power, in terms of proposal and design, and that in Mexico we not only make artisanal fabrics, I honor and respect them." "and I love them, but I am designing for the women of the world,"
