Bostonians: long tradition on your feet.
By Joshua Valdivia.
Bostonian shoes are usually related to masculine styles, referring to English gentlemen - and there is a lot of reason for that, but we will reveal that later knowing a little about the history of these shoes - however, most of the garments of a women's wardrobe are made up of pieces that were originally designed for men and that are now fundamental pieces in a feminine look and with which you can give and reflect power to your style.

A little history.
Bostonian or Brogues - type shoes are of English origin, specifically from Scotland. These emerged among the peasants to facilitate the drying of the interior of the shoes since they normally moved between humid and muddy terrain, through which the water that entered the footwear came out, serving as a type of strainer.
As time progressed, this type of shoe became very popular but it was used as the "tennis" of the time, that is, they were not formal at all; formal shoes were Oxfords.
Moving on to the present.
Currently the Bostonians, as they are casually known, occupy a "second place" in men's formal shoes (all depending on the model of the shoe) but, what about women's outfits? They have obviously become a staple in women's closets.
It is a mistake to believe that they could only be worn in Tomboy styles or by hipsters, any woman can wear them and with a wide variety of styles, Emma Watson, Victoria Beckham and Olivia Palermo are celebrities who have been seen wearing them.
Dare to use them.
The new trends in fashion go towards losing the fear of wearing clothes, not being afraid to mix colours, textures and styles, but always looking for harmony. The same thing happens with Bostonian shoes, there are an infinite number of styles of this type of footwear, such as plain, dotted, patent leather, shiny, opaque, etc., which will help you give a unique touch to your total look.
You can wear them in an androgynous style, as some women have masculine tailored suits that suit them very well, and they could be combined with a shirt-type blouse and you will steal the look everywhere you go.
Depending on the colors that make up your shoes, you can create monochromatic or color block looks; wear them with a skirt? Sure! You can also wear them with denim shorts, fishnet stockings and create a rocker look. By using them with boyfriend pants and a blazer, you will create a trendy casual outfit.
Now being at home, and to make the quarantine more bearable, you can try all the clothes in your wardrobe with some Regina Romero Bostonians and create endless looks to be ready when you return to normality.
