There is a trend that, in each season, dazzles and stands out from the others. In this Autumn-Winter 2022, the message is clear: the higher, the better. While autumn little by little fills the streets with golden light, we return to the glamor of a few more centimeters. Platforms have become fashion's new obsession.

In past sessions, footwear designs that kept us parallel to the floor swept. Now, we see that the change has not been gradual; We have gone from one extreme to the other, with models with gigantic soles that evoke the divas of the seventies, the disco inspiration and some pop groups from the nineties.

The platforms are back in style and have starred in the parades. They have become a law dictated by celebrities, influencers, singers and it girls. We can find them from street style to the most demanding wardrobes. But why have they stolen our breath?

One answer could be that we live in times of constant change. Usually, when there is a crisis in the world, heels experience an increase, as consumers take refuge in much more extravagant fashion expressions.

So, we are looking for something that expresses the best of us, that sublimes our essence. There is no better materialization of this, due to its impact and notoriety, than the platforms.

This high momentum has stolen the attention of all the big fashion houses. Trends dictate that platforms are the basics these days and it is time to fall at their feet. Bright colors and liquid materials, such as patent leather, fill the season's best shoe with shine and joy.

And although they may seem like vertigo models, you have nothing to worry about comfort. The thick soles balance the height and, while it may seem like a feat, they make walking much easier than with regular heels and provide ankle support.
