For a long time we have seen different shades of pink everywhere. In its FW22 collection, the haute couture brand Valentino, under the creative direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli, immersed us in a world completely impregnated with pink, a powerful tone, loaded with energy, vigor and strength that even received its registration in Pantone, named like Pink PP . Balanced with touches of black, the brand's creative director explained a balance between a bright and desirable world, but without leaving aside reality.
After that moment, many celebrities - it should be noted that of both sexes - began to appear at various events and magazines completely dressed in this color, until finally Pantone chose Viva Magenta as the color of the year 2023 and this was thus consolidated as the chromatic cusp that would govern collections, interior design and almost any part of the universe that could be filled with color.
Subsequently, magenta took a much softer course when it led to the Spring Summer 2023 collections, where its sweeter version illuminated garments and footwear in pastel tones. Still, pink continued to be present everywhere and advanced to the present day, where the Barbiecore trend is here to stay.

One of the key messages of the Spring Summer 2023 collections was the balance between the virtual world and the real world. In a very original twist - to the old essence of the doll and, why not say it, to the meanings that have always been attributed to pink - , Barbie will gradually lose her characteristic abilities, which will lead her to a crisis that will submerge her. in a search for meaning to their existence.
And although Barbie, played by Australian actress Margot Robbie, will not be so well received in the real world of her own universe, the Barbiecore trend has been accepted with absolute pleasure in many areas: fashion, lifestyle, spaces , etc. Sequins, plush textures, glitter and the combination of different eras and styles have flooded the streets, shops, cafes, movie theaters, everywhere!
The care in creating Barbie's world was such - it was said that the director sold out worldwide of the pink paint used for the film's sets - that it resulted in a total appropriation of our world.
